On August 26, Wang Hongzhi, a member of the leading Party group of the National Development and Reform Commission and head of the National Energy Administration, announced at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office that China's energy industry has achieved significant breakthroughs and historic milestones. The major indicators outlined in the 14th Five-Year Plan, including the comprehensive energy production capacity and the share of non-fossil energy, are on track to be fulfilled as scheduled. Furthermore, China boasts the world's largest electric vehicle charging network, with a ratio of two charging piles for every five vehicles, and has established the world's largest and fastest-growing renewable energy system. The share of installed renewable energy power generation capacity has surged from 40% to approximately 60%.
