Apple is poised to unveil its inaugural MacBook Pro equipped with an OLED touchscreen, with an announcement anticipated on either October 27 or 28, followed by an official market debut on November 6. Initially speculated to be christened the MacBook Ultra, the device has now been officially confirmed as a member of the MacBook Pro lineup, offered in both 14-inch and 16-inch variants. This move signifies Apple’s maiden venture into incorporating OLED touchscreens on Mac notebooks, a significant departure from its enduring policy against touchscreens on Macs, and is poised to substantially elevate the screen’s visual impact and color fidelity. The upcoming model is projected to retain the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, positioning itself as a premium alternative alongside the existing Mini LED models. Furthermore, Apple is also planning to introduce an OLED iPad mini, an iMac boasting the M6 chip, and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the M6 chip within the same launch timeframe.
