On September 11, the latest report released by Counterpoint Research showed that global shipments of foldable smartphone panels in the first half of 2026 fell by 13% year-on-year, with clamshell panel shipments plummeting by 62% year-on-year, while large foldable panel shipments increased by 35% year-on-year. Shipments in the second quarter increased by 85% quarter-on-quarter, but still fell by 16% compared to the same period in 2025, indicating that the market recovery is not yet comprehensive.
