On September 10, 2026, European patent operation agency Tulip Licensing Ltd announced the launch of the Tulip Imaging program, a patent licensing initiative for imaging and image information processing. OPPO, Huawei, Canon, and Sony became the first batch of licensors. The program integrates over 125,000 patents accumulated through decades of research and development by the four companies, making it the world's largest and most influential digital imaging and information processing patent licensing program. Through the Tulip platform, licensors can customize the scope of their patent licenses according to their own needs, reduce transaction costs, and promote technology sharing and innovation.
