On September 7, data released by CINNO Research revealed that global shipments of AMOLED smartphone panels reached approximately 430 million units in the first half of 2026, representing a 3.8% year-on-year (YoY) increase and surpassing market expectations. Despite sluggish demand in the smartphone end-market, industry leaders like Apple and Samsung capitalized on their robust supply chain networks and profit resilience to maintain steady procurement levels, playing a pivotal role in driving shipment growth.

In the meantime, some domestic panel manufacturers took proactive measures by releasing a portion of their future demand in advance. This strategy was aimed at sustaining production line utilization rates and mitigating risks associated with escalating costs, thereby contributing to the surge in shipments during the first half of the year.

Furthermore, amid a climate of cautious consumer sentiment and extended replacement cycles for new devices, the demand for mobile phone repairs witnessed a notable uptick. This trend provided an additional impetus to overall shipment volumes, underscoring the multifaceted dynamics influencing the AMOLED smartphone panel market.
