On August 11, the ink screen pendant named 'TICKEY,' developed by the domestic team Enilinx, launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform, priced at $49.9. Within just half a month of its debut, the project has successfully raised nearly $380,000, with support from over 3,300 backers. 'TICKEY' boasts a sleek design, measuring only 3.8mm in thickness and weighing a mere 45g. Drawing inspiration from movie ticket stubs, it features a hanging hole and comes with a detachable panel. Users can effortlessly switch images via Bluetooth or a dedicated companion App, with future plans to support scheduled image changes.
The product is equipped with a 3.7-inch color ink screen, capable of displaying more than 48 colors. It offers exceptional visibility even in bright sunlight and boasts a battery life extending beyond two months. Beyond its role as a pendant, 'TICKEY' can also function as an information display, an electronic business card, and more. Additionally, the developer version opens up firmware development opportunities, allowing users to freely explore and customize their experience.
Enilinx is a compact team consisting of only four members, guided by the philosophy of 'We Build What We Need.' They have previously released products like 'Flexbar,' which emphasize aesthetics and personalization. In contrast to electronic badges that prioritize dynamic interaction, 'TICKEY' centers on static image presentation. This approach aligns with the current trend in consumer hardware, which integrates new technologies into everyday items to add a fresh and emotional value.
