On June 10, market research company Counterpoint disclosed that in the first quarter of 2026, global smartphone SoC shipments experienced an 8% year-over-year decrease. Analysts attribute this decline in shipments mainly to the persistent shortage of memory supply. When it comes to specific market shares, MediaTek took the lead with 32%, trailed by Qualcomm at 23%. Apple secured the third position with 19%, Unisoc came in fourth with 14%, Samsung was fifth with 7%, and HiSilicon ranked sixth with 4%.
