Through the Taobao Flash Sale App's drone food delivery portal, users can place orders without incurring extra delivery charges. Mr. Liu, a resident of Haizhu District, Guangzhou, had the privilege of being the first to try it out. He received his food order from a location 6 kilometers away in roughly 10 minutes, cutting down the delivery time by over 50% compared to traditional ground-based delivery methods.

This route, a collaborative effort between Taobao Flash Sale and Xunyu Technology, is designed to facilitate deliveries in challenging scenarios such as long-distance routes, cross-bridge passages, and cross-river journeys. It effectively addresses the drawbacks of sluggish delivery times and restricted order volumes associated with two-wheeled delivery services. In tandem with this, a cutting-edge infrastructure known as the 'Urban Micro Air Hub' has been introduced. This hub seamlessly integrates logistics connectivity, commercial services, and community convenience features. It boasts capabilities for drone take-off and landing, logistics interconnection, and commercial consumption, with a pickup and delivery capacity that more than doubles that of conventional take-off and landing pads. Additionally, it offers amenities such as rest areas, supply stations, and charging facilities for emerging employment sectors like food delivery riders.
