On December 24, Xiaomi made an official announcement that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will come equipped with a 'Master Zoom Ring'. This innovative feature allows users to manually adjust the focus, similar to the operation of DSLR cameras. Xiaomi emphasized that this initiative is designed to "bring photography back to its purest form and channel creative energy inward". The phone is set to be officially launched on December 25 at 19:00. It will make its debut with a 'Leica 200-megapixel optical zoom' lens. This lens supports direct 200-megapixel output throughout the entire 75 - 100mm focal length range and has earned the Leica APO optical certification. To achieve true optical zoom, the lens employs a 3G+5P dual-floating lens group.
