Recently, a user going by the name GnaDead recounted a truly unfortunate incident. He shelled out around $1,200 (equivalent to roughly 8,476 yuan) for a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card at BestBuy in the United States. However, when he opened the package, to his utter shock, instead of the coveted graphics card, he found 'hard stones' nestled inside.
GnaDead placed his order on November 25 and the package was delivered on November 28. The delivery was rather suspicious; the package arrived without its outer box or any seals. Upon opening it, he was greeted by the sight of four stones occupying the space where the graphics card was supposed to be.
After getting in touch with BestBuy's customer service, initially, he was assured that a replacement would be arranged. But to his dismay, this promise was later revoked, and he was flatly denied both a replacement and a refund. The apathetic attitude of the customer service team left him feeling like he had been taken for a ride.
