During the period from January to October this year, the electronic information manufacturing industry above designated size witnessed a 10.6% year-on-year increase in added value. This growth rate outpaced that of both the broader industrial sector and the high-tech manufacturing sector during the same timeframe. Specifically, in October alone, the added value of this industry rose by 8.9% compared to the same month last year. In the initial 10 months of the year, mobile phone production totaled 1.25 billion units, marking a 4.7% year-on-year decline. Conversely, smartphone production reached 1.02 billion units, reflecting a 0.7% year-on-year increase. Microcomputer device production amounted to 275 million units, a slight 1.7% decrease from the previous year. Meanwhile, integrated circuit production soared to 386.6 billion units, up by 10.2% year-on-year. From January to October, the industry's operating revenue hit 14 trillion yuan, an 8.3% year-on-year increase, with total profits reaching 570 billion yuan, a 12.8% year-on-year surge. The operating revenue profit margin stood at 4.07%, up by 0.1 percentage points from January to September. In October, the operating revenue reached 1.53 trillion yuan, a 3.9% increase compared to the same month in the previous year.
