This new lineup adheres to Xiaomi's long-standing practice of assigning codenames inspired by musical instruments, with the Xiaomi Pad 9 being dubbed 'Erhu' and the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro going by 'Guitar'. It is anticipated that the Xiaomi Pad 9 will be rolled out globally, with the exception of Japan. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is set to bypass both India and Japan, making its debut in other markets around the world. While the exact specifications are yet to be finalized, there are whispers in the tech circle that the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro might be equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
