Data from Omdia’s latest research reveals that the Chinese mainland smartphone market contracted by 3% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025. The market is currently undergoing a phase of adjustment, characterized by fierce competition and a shrinking differentiation in rankings among top-tier manufacturers. During this period, vivo reasserted its dominance, reclaiming the top spot with shipments of 11.8 million units and an 18% market share. Huawei followed closely, shipping 10.5 million units and securing a 16% share, while Apple rounded out the top three with 10.1 million units shipped. Xiaomi and OPPO took fourth and fifth place, respectively, with shipments of 10 million and 9.9 million units.
