On the 27th of the month, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a significant trade accord between the European Union and the United States. She elaborated that the European Union currently relies heavily on Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) and, as such, welcomes the import of more competitively priced LNG from the United States. Regarding tariffs, the agreement establishes a uniform rate of 15% for the automotive sector.
