The European Union has deferred the signing of a joint climate action declaration with China, expressing its hope that China will further intensify its efforts towards emission reduction. In response, China's Foreign Ministry affirmed that China has consistently been dedicated to green and low-carbon development. Over the past decade, the share of non-fossil energy in China's energy mix has risen to 17.9%, while carbon emission intensity has been reduced by over 34%. Furthermore, China reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international cooperation in addressing climate change.
