On July 2, the World Health Organization (WHO) introduced the "3by35" initiative, urging countries to elevate the prices of tobacco, alcohol, and sugary drinks by 50% by the year 2035 through the implementation of health taxes. This strategy is intended to diminish the incidence of chronic diseases while simultaneously generating revenue for public use. The WHO emphasized that this initiative will contribute to mitigating the prevalence of non-communicable diseases and alleviating the pressures on health systems worldwide.
