On the evening of August 12, Hon Hai convened a significant information session to reveal that its board of directors had given the green light to acquire a parcel of land and associated buildings on Zhongshan Road, Tucheng District, New Taipei City. The seller, Xin Hong International Investment, agreed to the sale for NT$1 billion, paving the way for Hon Hai's strategic development in areas such as optical communication, ultra-precision mold making, and precision forming. Hon Hai clarified that Xin Hong International Investment, the vendor in this deal, is led by Terry Guo Tai-chiang, a relative of both Terry Gou, the major shareholder of Hon Hai, and Terry Gou himself. Consequently, this transaction is officially classified as a related-party transaction under legal regulations.
