On August 7, it was reported that the Heze base of Hithium officially commenced mass production, achieving a seamless integration across the entire supply chain, from materials and battery cells to modules, systems, and delivery. This marks a significant step forward in its transformation into a full-scenario integrated solution provider. With a total investment exceeding 13 billion yuan, the base is expected to produce 30GWh of long-duration energy storage cells and 20GWh of systems annually upon reaching full capacity. Wang Pengcheng, co-founder and president of Hithium, stated that long-duration energy storage serves as the 'ballast' for the new power system, with the company focusing on the 4-8 hour scenario and maintaining industry-leading product performance. The base employs fifth-generation intelligent manufacturing production lines, marking the first time in the industry that a single-line production capacity has surpassed 15GWh. Leveraging its scaled-up production capacity, Hithium aims to propel the global lithium-ion long-duration energy storage sector into the era of mass delivery.
