On the 13th, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) declared that it had wrapped up its investigation into the anomaly encountered during the 12th test launch of SpaceX's heavy-lift rocket, the 'Starship'. The FAA accepted SpaceX's corrective actions and gave the green light for the 13th test launch. SpaceX is slated to carry out this test launch as soon as the 16th. During the 12th test launch, which took place on May 22nd of this year, the first-stage 'Super Heavy' booster failed to execute its return braking burn as planned and ultimately crashed uncontrollably into the Gulf of Mexico. The investigation pinpointed that the mishap could have stemmed from excessive temperatures during the ascent phase, which impacted components of the propulsion system, as well as incorrect settings in the engine's alarm system. SpaceX has put forward four corrective measures, encompassing updates to both the spacecraft's hardware and software configurations. The 13th test launch will further assess the performance of the next-generation 'Starship' system and, for the first time, deploy 20 new-generation 'Starlink' satellites.
