China's two-stage reusable launch vehicle, the Long March 10B—developed specifically for the commercial aerospace market—successfully achieved a net-based recovery operation in Hainan. This rocket marks the first large-scale implementation of a new aerospace fuel: high-purity methane sourced from domestically produced liquefied natural gas, boasting a purity level of 98.7%. This achievement represents a significant technological milestone in China's commercial aerospace sector, particularly in the realm of diversifying fuel sources. The Long March 10B rocket features a core stage with a diameter of 5 meters, and all of its core components are manufactured domestically. It stands as China's inaugural commercially reusable launch vehicle to utilize a liquid oxygen and methane propellant combination.
