At the Fourth Executive Committee Meeting of the 13th Session held by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in Changsha, Hunan Province, the China Private Enterprise Social Responsibility Report (2025) was released. The report reveals that private enterprises have continuously strengthened their dominant position in technological innovation and have become a significant force in developing new quality productive forces. By the end of 2024, private enterprises accounted for a substantial proportion of national high-tech enterprises, specialized and sophisticated 'little giant' enterprises, and listed companies on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. They also became the largest entity in China's high-tech product import and export for the first time. In terms of R&D investment, the total R&D expenditure of the top 1,000 private enterprises reached RMB 1.43 trillion. Among them, 112 enterprises were ranked among the global top 1,000 in R&D investment, and 71.6% of private enterprises saw a year-on-year increase in R&D investment.
