On April 25, executives from Amazon and NVIDIA concurred that the momentum behind the construction of AI data centers remains unabated, despite fears of an economic recession. Earlier, some investors had expressed doubts about whether technology companies would scale back their related plans. During the Hyman, Phelps & McNamara (HP&M) Energy Conference on April 24, Kevin Miller, Vice President of Global Data Centers at Amazon Web Services (AWS), stated that there had been minimal discernible changes in data center construction, with demand continuing to be robust. He emphasized that the company's focus spans both the immediate years ahead and the longer term, as digital growth is poised to persist. This stance stands in sharp contrast to the apprehensions of Wall Street investment banks regarding potential shifts in data center expansion plans by tech firms.
