During a regular press conference on March 25, Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed a report issued by the China Cybersecurity Industry Alliance. Titled "Surveillance and Espionage Activities Conducted by US Intelligence Agencies Targeting Global Mobile Smart Terminals," the report exposed cyberattacks and surveillance operations perpetrated by the United States against global mobile smart devices, mobile supply chains, and operators. Guo Jiakun noted that China had carefully reviewed the report and expressed profound concern regarding the malicious cyber activities undertaken by the US. He strongly urged the US to immediately halt such actions, particularly those that exploit global supply chains for cyberattacks, and to provide a responsible explanation to the international community.
