Rumors have emerged that Baidu's Vice President Xie Guangjun has submitted his resignation application. However, his information remains searchable within Baidu's internal system, and the company has yet to confirm these reports. Recently, Xie Guangjun's daughter was a victim of a "doxxing" incident, where her personal information was leaked. In response, Baidu swiftly stated that the leaked information did not originate from within the company and that no employees or executives have access to user data. Following an internal technical investigation, it was established that the data leak originated from the overseas website Telegram. This incident has not only put pressure on Baidu and Xie Guangjun but has also heightened public concerns regarding data security.
In light of this, Baidu has advocated for the establishment of an "anti-doxxing" alliance, aiming to strengthen data privacy protection and combat illegal data theft.
