Wuhu Jiangdong Mingyi Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of ByteDance, is set to invest 8 billion yuan in Wuhu, Anhui Province, to establish the Volcano Engine Yangtze River Delta Computing Power Center. The environmental impact assessment documents for this project have been officially accepted and made public. The initiative entails deploying 21,800 server cabinets, 236 network cabinets, and constructing a 220kV substation. This strategic move will further enhance ByteDance's computing power infrastructure in the Yangtze River Delta region, thereby accelerating the development of the digital economy.
