On October 21, NVIDIA revealed that numerous cloud service providers and infrastructure firms across Europe are embracing its DSX AI factory platform. Their goal is to diminish both water and power usage in data center cooling, as well as to expedite the rollout of computing power facilities. Leveraging closed-loop liquid cooling and dry cooler heat dissipation technologies, the platform nearly eliminates the need for cooling water. NVIDIA highlighted that, at a capacity of 2 gigawatts, this innovative design could conserve 54 million liters of water daily—an amount equivalent to the daily water consumption of 180,000 households. Furthermore, the DSX MaxLPS software is capable of reducing electricity consumption by up to 30% when producing the same quantity of AI tokens.
