According to the draft prospectus, Anthropic reported a net loss of US$80.7 billion in the first half of this fiscal year, far exceeding the US$13 billion loss in the same period last year. Of this, US$72 billion of the loss stemmed from accounting charges related to changes in the value of convertible notes and other instruments. Over the six months ending June 30, Anthropic spent nearly US$9 billion on computing power and infrastructure, compared to just US$2.3 billion in the same period of 2025. In the first half of this year, the company's funds allocated to acquiring computing power have already surpassed the US$7.3 billion spent in the entirety of 2025. It is reported that Anthropic may invest another US$750 billion in computing power over the next few years.
