On July 22, sources within the industry disclosed that Samsung Electronics is set to construct a brand-new HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) manufacturing plant at its Gwangju campus in South Korea. This move is aimed at rapidly expanding its business-to-business central air-conditioning sector. In recent times, Samsung has formally submitted an application to the local government, seeking a construction permit for this new facility. The project is anticipated to require an investment of around 200 billion won, with the primary objective of boosting the production capacity of HVAC systems. This includes the manufacturing of cooling equipment specifically designed for AI data centers.
