On July 22, Zhang Baofeng, the Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration of Customs, announced at a press conference organized by the State Council Information Office that during the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the customs authority will proactively champion the integration of regulatory procedures into enterprise logistics and industrial supply chains. This will be achieved through the promotion of seamless customs clearance models, aimed at enhancing information flow across maritime, inland waterway, and rail transport sectors. These efforts are designed to streamline operations for businesses, thereby reducing costs and boosting operational efficiency. Presently, the time required for container transfers between sea and rail transport at several key ports has been significantly slashed to under 30 minutes, accompanied by a notable 20% reduction in overall transit expenses.
