Recently, spearheaded by the Information and Communication Administration under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) has joined forces with a host of key entities spanning the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the industrial chain to officially launch the NTN Satellite Communication Pioneer Initiative. This ambitious initiative is designed to create a comprehensive verification platform that seamlessly integrates satellite communication simulation, testing, and pilot production. Drawing upon CAICT's profound expertise in technical simulation and testing verification, the initiative aims to rally industry-wide efforts to tackle pivotal technical hurdles in the integration of NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) space-ground communications. It will carry out end-to-end technical trials and rigorous testing verification, incorporating three fundamental capabilities: simulation modeling, performance testing, and reliability assessment. The goal is to establish a full lifecycle closed loop, progressing from digital simulation to physical testing and culminating in in-orbit verification, thereby fostering a more robust and reliable satellite communication ecosystem.
