According to sources familiar with the matter, Dave Brown, a senior executive at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with nearly two decades of industry experience, is set to join Meta to oversee data center expansion projects and report to Meta's head of infrastructure. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that the company has not yet officially launched a cloud business, as its current computing power can still meet demand. However, in the future, when there is surplus computing capacity, Meta will consider opening it up to the public and providing cloud services.
