On July 15th local time, Matt Garman, CEO of Amazon Web Services, sent a company-wide letter confirming that Dave Brown, the Senior Vice President of Computing and Machine Learning Services who has worked at the company for nearly 19 years, will soon be leaving. The announcement stated that Dave Treadwell, Senior Vice President of Amazon's e-commerce foundation, will officially join Amazon Web Services on August 1st to take over leadership of the Computing and Machine Learning Services team.
