Recently, the '14th Five-Year Plan (Draft for Comments)' for the information and communications industry in Guangdong Province has been released for public comments. The plan proposes supporting basic telecommunications enterprises and others to participate in provincial R&D programs in key areas, leveraging strategic scientific and technological forces such as the Pengcheng National Laboratory and leading enterprises to help the information and communications industry in Guangdong Province build a holistic innovation ecosystem. The plan will accelerate technological breakthroughs in frontier areas such as 6G, optical communication, satellite communication, quantum communication, and agent communication, and strengthen research on new network architectures. At the same time, it will focus on cultivating the new track (track/field) of 6G, promoting the R&D and industrialization of core devices such as next-generation digital baseband chips, RF front-end chips, 6G modules, and network communication equipment. Additionally, it will conduct applied technology research on quantum encryption and information communication networks, as well as the integration of quantum computing and classical computing, aiming to achieve breakthroughs in key technologies such as quantum computing, quantum materials, quantum precision measurement, quantum security, and critical core equipment.
