On July 4th, China Unicom embarked on a fresh phase of organizational restructuring, leading to the creation of six departments and five business units. The six departments encompass the Product Innovation and Marketing Department, Quality Assurance Department, Computing Network Construction and Development Department, Computing Network Security Assurance Department, Ecological Cooperation Department, and Financial Capital Department. The five business units are dedicated to public market services, institutional and industrial services, international business, computing network operations, as well as the transformation and implementation of innovative accomplishments. This restructuring marks a departure from the conventional pipeline business model prevalent among telecom operators. The computing network sector has been carved out as a distinct entity to focus resources on bolstering computing infrastructure, pioneering 6G technology, and facilitating the commercialization of AI. Additionally, the business units are segmented based on customer categories to streamline business operations, eliminate complexities in government-enterprise and personal business interfaces (the term "dock" is retained as is, given its specific context within the HTML), refine internal management structures, and boost decision-making and collaboration efficacy.
