Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, along with two additional departments, jointly released a notice to initiate pilot programs focused on the development of independent industrial 5G private networks. These networks are predominantly built and managed by industrial enterprises, enabling them to function autonomously without dependence on public networks. The pilot programs are designed to assist large and extra-large enterprises operating within sectors such as raw materials, equipment manufacturing, consumer goods, electronic information, defense technology, energy, and transportation in establishing their own private networks. Additionally, cities that are already engaged in pilot projects for the integration of '5G + Industrial Internet' are encouraged to take the lead in implementing these initiatives. The pilot programs encompass five critical areas: the deployment of infrastructure, the innovation of application scenarios, the construction of management platforms, the exploration of construction models, and the assurance of network security.
