With this development, all three of China's principal basic telecommunication operators—China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom—have secured this essential qualification. This enables them to lawfully offer services like direct mobile phone-to-satellite connectivity, enhance applications in critical areas such as emergency communications, maritime communications, and communications in remote regions, and diversify the array of communication services and products available. Satellite communication, boasting extensive coverage and substantial communication capacity, is set to forge a fresh frontier for the integration of heaven and earth, with the potential to cultivate a market valued in the trillions.
