According to reports, Samsung Electronics has achieved stable yields for its 4nm and 5nm semiconductor manufacturing processes. Lately, due to a notable surge in customer orders, the 4nm process capacity within Samsung's foundry division has nearly reached full utilization. Concurrently, the company is actively pursuing market expansion to attract more customers for its 5nm process. It is reported that the 5nm process can also boost the utilization rate of existing production lines. Industry analysts point out that the enhanced utilization of the 4nm process and the newly acquired 5nm orders will underpin Samsung Foundry's recent performance growth.

However, Samsung still encounters hurdles in securing key customers for its next-generation 2nm process. Presently, Samsung is engaged in negotiations with major global tech firms for 2nm process semiconductor production contracts, but the progress of some discussions has been sluggish. Considering that state-of-the-art processes necessitate thorough verification of yield, energy efficiency, intellectual property rights, and mass production capabilities, the timeframe from contract signing to mass production is relatively extended.
