Based on information from the hardware leak source 'Moore's Law Is Dead', which referenced insiders from major retailers, Nvidia has reportedly scheduled a production stop for the GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 16GB models, with the halt anticipated in the first half of January 2027. Earlier, on October 15, 2026, Nvidia's official online store in the U.S. took down the RTX 5090 graphics card listing, prompting multiple retailers to expedite their inventory sell-offs, with some third-party sellers marking it as 'out of stock'. On October 18, Jeff Fischer, Nvidia's Senior Vice President of PC Business, addressed the RTX Spark event in Taipei, China, clarifying that the RTX 5090 has not been discontinued and will remain available, albeit with constrained supply chain production capabilities. Nevertheless, according to the leak, the final batch of RTX 5080 units is expected to hit the market by late October 2026 and remain on sale until around Thanksgiving, specifically November 26, 2026. This assertion has not been substantiated by Nvidia or any retailers and remains within the realm of supply chain speculation.
