Back in June of this year, the market valuation of Kioxia Holdings, a Japanese memory chip producer, stood at approximately 60 trillion yen. However, by mid-October, this figure had plummeted to around 21 trillion yen, marking a nearly 65% decrease. On October 15, during intraday trading, Kioxia's stock price took a significant hit, dropping by about 14% and eventually closing with a roughly 12.3% decline. The following day, it settled at 13,375 yen. When calculated using the adjusted price post-stock split, the stock has witnessed a staggering drop of about 64% from its peak of 37,565 yen on June 22. It's worth noting that Kioxia executed a 3-for-1 stock split on October 1, so the adjusted price is the appropriate metric for comparing historical per-share prices.
