The Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have jointly issued a strategic plan, underscoring the necessity of bolstering agricultural technological innovation. This plan encompasses several key initiatives: strengthening the development of innovative platforms for smart agriculture, establishing an integrated innovation system that harmonizes basic research, applied research, and R&D manufacturing, and addressing critical technologies such as agricultural sensors and specialized chips. Additionally, the plan outlines measures for the high-quality development of agricultural machinery and equipment, encourages the research and widespread adoption of intelligent agricultural machinery, enhances inspection and testing mechanisms, facilitates collaborative advancements in digital and intelligent technologies alongside agricultural machinery and agronomy, conducts trials for unmanned agricultural machinery operations, and directs qualified regions to explore the establishment of digital village technology innovation centers.
