On September 8, during the semi-annual performance review meeting, Zhang Jinsong, Chairman of Yandong Micro, disclosed that the 12-inch production line at Yandong Technology boasts a planned monthly capacity of 40,000 wafers. This line has now achieved full production, with a yield rate surpassing 99%. As new products transition into mass production, subsequent progress is expected to accelerate, leading to a steady increase in output scale. Meanwhile, the 12-inch production line of the Beidian Integrated Project is designed for a monthly capacity of 50,000 wafers. Construction is set to commence in 2024, with equipment relocation slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. Currently, the project is in the equipment debugging and capacity ramp-up phase, with mass production anticipated by the end of 2026 and full capacity projected to be reached by 2030. Considering that wafer foundry profitability is contingent upon various factors, including downstream demand across diverse sectors, industry supply dynamics, and upstream costs, Yandong Micro's two production lines are currently undergoing a steady ramp-up. As orders continue to grow and yield rates improve, they are expected to gradually achieve break-even.
