According to the latest memory industry research by TrendForce, in the second quarter of 2026, influenced by a significant increase in Conventional DRAM contract prices, overall DRAM industry revenue grew by 59.5% quarter-over-quarter, reaching nearly US$154.73 billion. On the demand side, LLM model training and AI inference drove growth in AI Server demand, with simultaneous increases in shipments of HBM3e, LPDDR5X, and high-capacity RDIMMs. Agentic AI applications also spurred procurement of RDIMMs across various capacity specifications. On the supply side, original equipment manufacturers' inventories remained low, with new supply prioritized to meet Server applications, leading to a slight increase in overall DRAM bit shipments in the second quarter.
