According to a Bloomberg report on August 8, people familiar with the matter said that South Korea's SK Hynix is considering options for its Chongqing plant in China, including bringing in investors to accelerate development. The company is engaging with potential advisors to evaluate the business, and a potential share sale could value the plant at up to US$3 billion. As a key supplier of high-bandwidth memory chips for Nvidia, SK Hynix's Chongqing plant is an important semiconductor packaging and testing base. The discussions are still at a preliminary stage, and a deal may not be reached.
