Driven by a surge in demand for artificial intelligence computing power, chip giant AMD's latest financial report shows strong growth in its data center business. According to the financial data, AMD's data center division's revenue for the quarter doubled year-on-year to $6.7 billion, up from $5.8 billion in the previous quarter and a significant 107% increase from $3.2 billion in the same period last year. AMD CEO Lisa Su predicted during the earnings call that the data center business will continue to achieve year-on-year growth of more than double by 2027.
