On Friday, sources familiar with the matter revealed that the South Korean government is currently weighing a proposal to substantially loosen labor regulations within the newly launched semiconductor industry cluster in Gwangju, situated in the southwestern region of the country. This proposed relaxation notably encompasses the elimination of the 52-hour weekly work limit.
