China’s A-share market witnessed a broad-based rally as its three major indices—the Shanghai Composite Index, Shenzhen Component Index, and ChiNext Index—closed collectively higher. The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.72%, while the Shenzhen Component Index surged 2.21%, and the tech-heavy ChiNext Index soared by an impressive 3.06%.

Sector-wise, the optical module and semiconductor industries stood out as top performers. Leading the charge, VeriSilicon and Centec Networks each surged more than 10%, while Yujiahui Technology and Eoptolink Technology advanced over 7%. Cambricon Technologies also posted strong gains, rising over 6%. In contrast, the insurance and banking sectors faced downward pressure. Agricultural Bank of China and China Merchants Bank both fell over 2%, and Ping An Insurance declined more than 1%.

On the individual stock front, the market demonstrated widespread strength, with advancing stocks far outnumbering decliners. Across the entire market, over 4,600 stocks finished in positive territory, reflecting a robust day of trading.
