On July 22, Qualcomm and Samsung unveiled a significant strengthening of their collaborative efforts. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile platform, Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, and Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 will be integrated into Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8 smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 smartwatches, along with a new line of smart glasses. In tandem, Qualcomm, Samsung, and Google are set to join forces in broadening the Android Extended Reality (XR) landscape, with a particular focus on expanding their business reach into the smart glasses market. Moreover, Samsung has rolled out its inaugural smartwatch platform, which is powered by a Snapdragon processor and incorporates personal AI capabilities.
