Musk: Micron Provides 'Substantial' Memory Chips to Tesla

On July 23, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that Micron Technology recently supplied Tesla with a 'substantial' quantity of memory chips, alleviating Tesla's demand for this scarce resource. Musk mentioned that despite the tight supply and high prices of memory chips, Micron offered reasonable terms for the chip transactions. In the long term, Musk is pushing for autonomous semiconductor production and has initiated a project named 'Terafab' aimed at mass-producing computing and memory chips. However, for now, Tesla still relies on Micron. Data shows that Tesla and SpaceX are not among Micron's top ten customers.
