Recently, a reporter made a visit to the storage market in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen, and observed a notable upturn in market activity, characterized by a general upward trend in the prices of memory modules and solid-state drives (SSDs). Products from renowned brands such as Samsung, Kingston, and SanDisk have all experienced price hikes. According to merchants, the purchasing price for the Samsung 990 Pro 1TB SSD stands at 1,400 yuan, with retail prices fluctuating between 1,420 yuan and 1,450 yuan. Despite this price surge, the sales performance of this particular model has remained lackluster. In comparison to mid-May, the retail price of this SSD has risen from 1,380 yuan, although it is still below the peak of over 1,600 yuan seen in March.
Turning to memory modules, the current price range for the Kingston 16GB DDR4 memory module is between 750 yuan and 800 yuan, marking an increase from the 680 yuan recorded in mid-May and returning to pre-March price levels. Furthermore, the SanDisk Extreme Pro 2TB portable SSD is currently priced at 1,380 yuan. While this is lower than the over 1,500 yuan price tag in March of this year, it represents a slight uptick from the 1,350 yuan seen in mid-May. Notably, the price has stabilized for a period following the declines observed in April and May.
