On June 25, SK Keyfoundry, a dedicated 8-inch pure-play foundry based in South Korea, made an announcement regarding its latest innovation: the development of an on-chip EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) protection technology. This cutting-edge technology is grounded in the utilization of a bidirectional SCR (Silicon-Controlled Rectifier), specifically designed to bolster the electromagnetic compatibility performance of automotive semiconductors. Notably, this technology has already been seamlessly integrated into products manufactured using the 0.13-micron BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) process and has successfully commenced mass production.
